Hastand was established in 1982. It is engaged in exports of a wide range of pharmaceutical raw materials and chemicals to various countries in Europe, Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East. These are used in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries. It also exports pharmaceutical machinery, PET blow machines and water treatments plants to Africa. Our sister company, Monel Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., was set up in 1987. It manufactures and imports chemicals. It is the sole agent in India for Stellar Films Group Pty. Ltd., Australia, for their range of cast polyethylene films and laminates, manufactured at Australia and Malaysia, for use in feminie napkins and diapers. |

| OUR DIRECTORS: |
| 1. Mr. N.S. Fernandes is the Managing Director of Hastand. He is a B.Tech. (Chem. Engg.) from IIT, Bombay, with MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has over 30 years business experience, with an extensive exposure to international trade in chemicals, pharma raw materials and pharmaceuticals. HE worked as a senior manager with Bayer (India) Ltd., Kilachand group, Lupin Laboratories Ltd., and finally as the General Manager of Meridien Trade Corp. Ltd. U.K., engaged in international trade, finance and banking. He was thus exposed to Indian and international management practices and business environments prior to taking over the management of Hastand in 1987. He has traveled widely on business promotion to Africa, the Middle East, S.E. Asia and Europe and has developed close connections in these countries. |

| 2. Mr. F. Pinto is an engineer with over 35 years business experience in the plastics industry in India and overseas. He was earlier the General Manager - Sales of Klockner Windsor (India) Ltd. He has traveled widely on business promotion to Africa, the Middle East, S.E. Asia and Europe. |

| 3. Mrs. M.N. Fernandes has over 35 years of administrative experience in Indian and international companies. She was earlier with Mahindras and EAC. She looks after business development, administration and secretarial matters. |
